2.3 Installing Living Manual Pro

Install and activate Living Manual Pro after the free core. Pro checks for the core on every load and refuses to register anything without it, so the order matters and a missing core produces an explanatory notice rather than a broken screen. Pro needs two things before its features work:

1. An Anthropic API key, which powers the AI ingest and the docent. Set it in the setup wizard on

first run, or later under the Living Manual screen’s settings.
